About Tony Harvill
A former Vice-President of Operations for Nutone, Inc., a division of Williams Holdings,
PLC located in Derby, England, Tony Harvill provides solutions to corporate management
and plant managers who want to keep American jobs and stay competitive in a global economy.
Tony’s life is full of highs and lows. In tenth grade, Tony’s pastimes included
a bout with petty theft and shooting street lights. He still holds the record for finishing
with the lowest grades in high school. He flunked out of college in three months. He was
the
second
coming
of Beetle Bailey in the Air Force, never rising above the lowest rank, Airman Second Class.
Homelessness on a park bench was his next achievement in life.
Then
he turned his life around. After that, he started turning around manufacturing operations.
He has turned around seven manufacturing operations/companies and greatly enhanced two
others for three major corporations: Whirlpool, Inc., Scovill, Inc., and Williams Holdings.
He has worked and learned from giants in his fields such as Jim Rankin, executive marketing
consultant
and
former
Group
Vice
President at Scovill, Inc. and Al Hails, former General Manager/Vice President of the Warwick
Electronics Division of Whirlpool, Inc. and retired Vice President of Rockwell Inc. Tony
attributes many of his achievements over the years to these mentors.
Tony’s record for improving product output is 750 percent in a two-year timeframe.
His accomplishments have been written up in several newspaper articles and trade magazines.
Over his career, Tony has saved several thousands of jobs over the years and has developed
a proven method to turn around plant operations. His experience includes working in plants
that produced t.v. console cabinets, electronics, windows and patio doors, electric heaters,
truck bodies and parts, truck stems and tire valves, range hoods, door chimes, bath components,
and
other housing products.
Tony volunteers some of his time speaking to high school students on the power of an education
and also speaks to motivate cancer caregivers. He is an avid golfer and is passionate about
keeping jobs in America.
